Service Technician – Wind Turbine Maintenance & Inspections

We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Service Technician to join our wind service team in the United States. This is a field-based role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who are comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments. The technician will be responsible for up-tower inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wind turbines across the U.S., with up to 80% domestic travel required to wind farms and customer sites. The role

involves performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on wind turbines and support systems, including climbing wind towers up to 280 feet to conduct mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic inspections. The technician will diagnose technical issues, replace or repair faulty components in the field, and maintain detailed service records and documentation. Strict adherence to health and safety standards is required, including fall protection, lockout/tagout, and PPE protocols. The technician will work closely with co-workers, engineers, and customers to ensure high service quality, and will be responsible for maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, and demonstrate strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with attention to detail. Physical ability to climb up to 280 feet and lift 30 lbs is essential, along with a willingness to travel extensively and work in varied weather and site conditions. Applicants should be able to read and understand technical manuals and basic schematics, and have experience using hand tools, diagnostic tools, and digital documentation systems. Clear communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a valid driver's license are also required.

Preferred qualifications

include a trade school or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or wind energy systems, and previous experience in wind turbine service, inspections, or maintenance. Familiarity with OSHA safety practices or GWO (Global Wind Organization) training is a plus, as is basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and mobile service apps.
