Excel Data Cleaning & Organization

I have several Excel/CSV files that need a thorough clean-up so the information is reliable and ready for analysis. My priority is to eliminate the usual noise—duplicates, stray blanks, and inconsistent cell formats—then structure everything logically with the right formulas and a basic PivotTable for quick summaries. Here is what I need done: • Data cleaning – Remove all duplicate rows and any empty rows or columns – Standardise names, email addresses and phone numbers so every record follows one clear pattern • Data formatting & organisation – Fix every instance of inconsistent number, date or text formatting – Split or merge columns where the content is currently jammed together or scattered across multiple fields – Apply sensible sorting and filters so the data is easy to navigate • Data validation – Set rules that ensure numerical ranges stay within accepted limits – Cross-reference key fields against a provided reference list so no rogue values slip through • Final touches – Insert or update formulas where automation will save time (lookups, conditional calculations, etc.) – Build a straightforward PivotTable that lets me slice totals by the main dimensions – Deliver the cleaned file back in both .xlsx and .csv formats, clearly documenting any assumptions or edge cases you encounter Acceptance criteria: Clean file opens without errors, all validation checks pass, and the PivotTable reflects the expected totals when spot-checked against source figures.
