Über den Job

THE HOBBY GUILD – B2B Business Development & US Retail Partnerships The Hobby Guild is a Swiss-based marketplace currently in development, preparing to launch in the US tabletop wargaming market. Our platform aims to generate new sales opportunities for independent retailers through a multi-retailer shopping cart optimizer that considers product availability, total delivered cost, delivery times, and the number of shipments. Each retailer remains independent and is responsible for its own sales, shipping, and customer service. We also plan to develop partnerships with content creators who contribute to the tabletop wargaming community. We are looking for an independent B2B business development professional capable of establishing and securing our first partnerships with US retailers. Candidates may be based in the United States or internationally, provided they have strong professional English communication skills and can directly manage commercial discussions with American businesses. PHASE 1 – First Founding Retailer & Games Workshop Clarification Initial potential compensation: Up to $2,500 USD. Our primary objective is to secure our first established US Games Workshop retailer with an active retailer account, a meaningful and diverse selection of Warhammer products, and genuine interest in participating in the launch of The Hobby Guild. We welcome retailers of different sizes. What matters most is their credibility, actual product availability, and willingness to actively collaborate during our pilot phase. As the platform is still in development, our first partner must understand that communication, testing, and potential technical adjustments will be necessary during onboarding. Your Responsibilities - Identify and approach suitable US retailers and their decision-makers. - Present our project using approved commercial materials and a recorded demonstration provided by us. - Personally conduct commercial discussions, including telephone calls or video meetings when appropriate. - Build trust, address objections, and support commercial negotiations. - Secure genuine commitment from a potential founding retail partner. - Facilitate the retailer's request for clarification through their existing Games Workshop sales representative. - Continue supporting commercial discussions through to a signed pilot partnership agreement, provided the necessary conditions are met. - Provide regular, documented progress reports covering outreach activities and results. We are looking for more than someone who simply generates prospect lists or arranges meetings. Our objective is to secure genuine commercial partnerships. We favor a working arrangement where the sales representative manages commercial communications independently while providing regular written updates. The Hobby Guild will provide the necessary materials and retain final approval of commercial terms, any concessions, and contractual agreements. We will handle technical feasibility assessments and retailer integration. No commercial commitments may be made on behalf of The Hobby Guild without our prior authorization. Games Workshop Clarification Our proposed third-party, multi-retailer marketplace model must be presented accurately and comprehensively to Games Workshop through the interested retailer. The response we seek must be written, identifiable, and sufficiently specific to determine whether our business model complies with the applicable distribution requirements. A favorable response will only be considered actionable if it genuinely covers our actual commercial model.

COMPENSATION

PHASE 1 We propose a hybrid, milestone-based compensation structure consisting of four stages: $500 USD – Verified Initial Prospecting Completion of an initial prospecting assignment involving qualified research, identification of decision-makers, actual commercial outreach, and documented reporting, based on deliverables agreed upon before work begins. $1,000 USD – First Genuinely Committed Retailer Securing a retailer who has reviewed our essential commercial terms, confirmed in writing their intention to move forward toward a pilot partnership, and submitted our approved business model to their Games Workshop representative for clarification. $500 USD – Favorable Written Games Workshop Confirmation** An additional success bonus, payable only if we receive a favorable, identifiable written response from Games Workshop that is sufficiently specific and applicable to our actual business model. **$500 USD – Signed First Pilot Partnership A success bonus tied to the actual signing of a commercially viable agreement with our first founding retailer, once the necessary conditions have been satisfied, particularly regarding Games Workshop requirements and technical feasibility. Maximum Phase 1 compensation: $2,500 USD. Milestones already completed and approved will remain payable even if Games Workshop subsequently provides an unfavorable response. A negative or insufficiently clear response will not trigger the favorable-confirmation bonus or the expansion phase. Detailed deliverables, timelines, verification criteria, and payment arrangements will be agreed upon contractually before the assignment begins. PHASE 2 – Optional Retail Network Expansion Additional potential compensation: Up to $2,500 USD. This second phase may only be considered after: - Receiving a favorable written clarification from Games Workshop applicable to our business model. - Signing a commercially viable agreement with our first founding retailer. - Receiving separate written authorization from The Hobby Guild to proceed with further recruitment. The sales representative may then be assigned to secure two additional partnerships with US retailers.

Compensation

$1,250 USD for each additional signed and commercially viable retail partnership. Our objective is to build a complementary retail network, offering customers greater product variety, availability, and purchasing option
