AI-Powered Email Automation System

I’m building a smart, end-to-end email automation solution that will generate, personalize, schedule, and send messages automatically. The core of the project is an AI layer Python-based and connected to an AI text-generation API that can take structured input (CSV, webhooks, or API calls), choose the right template, fill in basic personalization fields such as first name and company, and output natural-sounding copy every time. Once the content is ready, the same workflow should push the email through an SMTP service or a platform such as SendGrid, Mailgun, or Amazon SES, handling retries, bounces, and simple reporting. I also need a lightweight interface (command line or minimal web UI is fine) where I can: • upload or connect data sources • define or edit templates (HTML + text) • map personalization tokens (name, company, etc.) • set up rule-based scheduling or immediate sends Key requirements • Written in Python, cleanly structured for future modules • Uses GPT-style or similar AI API for content creation • Basic personalization only no deep behavior tracking needed for now • Modular email gateway so I can swap providers without rewriting code • Clear documentation and a short hand-off call so my in-house team can maintain it Acceptance criteria 1. I supply a CSV with name, company, and email address; the system produces personalized drafts and sends them through the configured provider. 2. Logs confirm delivery status for each address. 3. Codebase installs with a single command (Docker or straightforward virtual-env) and runs cross-platform.
