Casting for Poetic Art Short Film

We are currently casting for WHERE I AM, an intimate and poetic visual art short film exploring memory, time, identity and the emotional impact of dementia. CASTING We are looking for: ELLA — Lead Role An elderly woman living with dementia. The film explores Ella’s changing perception of reality as memories from different periods of her life begin to overlap with the present. We are looking for an actress who can portray vulnerability, warmth, complexity and emotional depth through subtle and natural performance. MAYA — Supporting Role Ella’s daughter, who is navigating the emotional challenges of caring for her mother while witnessing the changes dementia brings. We are looking for someone able to bring emotional sensitivity and a strong connection to the character. YOUNG ELLA — Supporting Role Ella as a young girl, appearing through memories and fragmented moments from her past. This role involves innocence, emotion and physical storytelling. Ballet/contemporary DANCER — Movement Role We are also looking for a ballet dancer to be part of the film’s visual storytelling. Dance and movement will play an important role in representing memory, emotion, youth and identity. Professional and emerging dancers are welcome to apply.
