Xero Bookkeeping & Reconciliation for Aussie Firm

We are seeking an experienced Xero bookkeeper or registered BAS agent to undertake a one-off bookkeeping review and reconciliation project for an established Australian Pty Ltd company. The objective is to ensure our financial records are accurate, reconciled and appropriately documented in preparation for review and finalisation by our accountant. Scope of Work * Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts. * Reconcile relevant tax and statutory liability accounts against supporting records. * Review bank reconciliations and outstanding transactions. * Reconcile payroll, superannuation, accounts payable and receivable balances. * Identify and investigate discrepancies, duplicate entries or incorrect allocations. * Complete routine bookkeeping corrections where appropriate and authorised. * Prepare supporting reconciliation schedules and proposed adjustments for accountant review. * Provide a final summary of completed work and any outstanding matters requiring accountant attention. Required Experience * Advanced Xero proficiency. * Demonstrated experience with Australian company bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliations. * Strong knowledge of Australian GST, PAYG and superannuation. * Experience preparing financial records for accountants and year-end finalisation. * Registered BAS agent preferred, and required where the services involve regulated BAS work. * Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and clear communication.
