I need a mobile application (iOS IPad only) that lets parents and nursery staff work together to keep every child’s medication plan accurate, timely, and fully traceable. Core workflow • A parent scans or types in the prescription as soon as it’s issued (photo upload, OCR optional). . Key information from the prescription is pre loaded into the App • Nursery staff review and validate the entry, confirming dose, timing and any special notes. • When it is time to administer the medicine, the app prompts the assigned staff member with a recurring alarm, until it is actioned, who confirms by scanning the dot-matrix code printed on the package; the scan locks the correct child, drug and dose together. • App gives green light and allows next stage to progress. A mismatch locks the APP with red screen not permitting advancement. If green, the App forces the staff member to confirm the child. A scan/picture taken has to match the child’s profile alongside the previous green prescription acceptance. Even if the Dot matrix (Qr code equivalent) is also placed in the picture too. Key features to build – Dosage reminders for staff with clear push notifications. – Missed-dose alerts that escalate if no confirmation is logged. – Full medication history log available to both roles, exportable as PDF/CSV. – Dot-matrix recognition/ barcode scan at administration to eliminate mix-ups. – Role-based accounts (parent, staff, manager) with simple switch if someone is both a parent and an employee. – Secure cloud back-end; data encryption at rest and in transit. – Simple dashboard for managers to view compliance stats and generate reports for inspections. Acceptance criteria 1. Parent can add, edit or discontinue a prescription; staff can only validate or flag issues. 2. A scheduled dose that is not confirmed within its window triggers an alert for all logged-in staff plus a notification to the parent. 3. Barcode/Dot scan must match the active prescription before the “Administer” button becomes available. 4. History log shows date, time, user and any notes, and can be exported. 5. All primary flows tested on the latest iOS and Android versions. Alert sent to staff and parent 1 hour after if dosage not confirmed, this could be an email to the nursery manager too. I’m happy with React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin/Swift native builds—choose what you’re fastest with as long as the experience is smooth and the tech stack is well-documented for future maintenance.
