Creative Studio Accounting & Payroll

Running an interiors and digital-paintings studio means constant movement—supplier invoices for bespoke fittings, art-print royalties, project deposits, and an ever-changing payroll. My goal is to place all of that financial traffic under one meticulous set of eyes so I can stay focused on design and client work. I need complete coverage of three areas: general bookkeeping, management-level financial reporting, and a reliable payroll run. Everything happens inside Xero, so deep familiarity with that platform is essential; you may still tap Excel or even past QuickBooks know-how for analysis, but every journal and reconciliation must live in Xero when finished. Because our revenue streams come from both interior projects and digital artworks, prior experience in both niches is crucial—you’ll know how to treat work-in-progress on a renovation differently from royalties on a limited-edition print, and how to track materials, labor, and licensing fees without confusion. Deliverables each month • Xero ledger fully reconciled against bank, card, and payment-gateway feeds • Management pack (P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow, and per-project profitability) issued within five business days of month-end • Payroll processed on a fortnightly schedule with payslips, tax filings, and benefits remitted on time • On-call responses to budgeting or audit queries within 24 hours Acceptance criteria: ledger accuracy within 0.5 %, zero missed compliance deadlines, and a tidy document archive in our shared drive following the agreed folder structure. I’ll provide Xero access, historical data, and vendor lists as soon as we agree. Handing the numbers to a pro lets me keep creating—let’s make it happen.
