Victorian Living Room Interior Design

I want to transform my current living room into a refined Victorian-inspired space without sacrificing the everyday practicality of a modern family area. The brief centres on carefully planning where a dining table, TV unit, sofa and other essentials will sit so the room feels elegant yet comfortable, not crowded. Please work strictly within a Victorian aesthetic—think rich textures, ornate detailing, warm wood tones and period-appropriate lighting—while still allowing for today’s technology and seating needs. Your proposal should include: • A scaled layout that shows optimal placement of the dining table, television unit, main seating and any accent pieces. • Style boards or mood images that convey furniture, wall décor and lighting choices true to Victorian character. • Realistic 3D views or rendered perspectives so I can visualise flow and proportions before committing to purchases. • A concise sourcing list (local or online) noting key items and finishes, with alternatives if original picks are unavailable. I’ll supply photos, measurements and any existing furniture dimensions once we begin. I’m happy to answer clarifying questions quickly so the design phase moves smoothly. Completion files should be delivered in editable CAD/SketchUp or similar plus high-resolution JPEG/PNG renders.
