Eco-Friendly Lip Balm Artistic Packaging Design

Design Brief: Premium Eco-Friendly Lip Balm Paper Tube Design (Art Collaboration) Project Overview We are an indie beauty brand launching our flagship product: an art-infused lip balm housed in an eco-friendly push-up paper tube. We are looking for an experienced Packaging / Pre-press Designer to create the final, print-ready mechanical files (Dieline layout) based on our established creative direction. Brand & Concept • Brand Name: art-moi • Collection Subtitle: Hodler: a piece of serenity • Core Aesthetic: Fine Art, Minimalist, Sustainable, Premium. • The Artwork: The packaging features a continuous, seamless wrap of Swiss master Ferdinand Hodler’s public-domain masterpiece: “Le Lac de Thoune aux reflets symétriques” (Lake Thun with Symmetrical Reflections, 1909), sourced from the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (MAH) Geneva. Technical Specifications (Dieline Included) • Packaging Type: Bottom Push-up Paper Tube (Eco-friendly cardboard). • Dimensions: D18.5mm x H70mm (Total finished height). • Cap Height: 20mm • Base Height: 50mm • Roll/Bleed Margins: 5mm top and 5mm bottom (Total canvas height: 80mm). • Circumference: Approx. 58mm + 10mm overlap/gluing seam (Total flat graphic width: ~68mm). Winning designer must double-check calculations based on the provided structural dieline. Design & Typography Guidelines 1. Continuous Artwork Wrap (Crucial): The painting must flow seamlessly from the bottom of the tube to the top of the cap. The horizontal cutline between the cap and base should pass right through the painting like a hidden seam without disrupting or breaking the visual alignment of the mountains. 2. Typography Placement (Vertical & Minimal): To preserve the beauty of the artwork, the front facade must remain 100% clean and free of text. All branding must be placed vertically along the side/back overlap seam using an elegant, high-contrast, minimalist sans-serif or crisp serif font. 3. Back of Tube (Regulatory Text): The designer will need to neatly arrange placeholder sections for an ingredient list, net weight (0.15 oz / 4.2g), and a barcode without cluttering the aesthetic. 4. Font Outlining: All typography must be converted to vector paths (outlined) in the final delivery, as requested by our manufacturer. Deliverables Required • Fully layered, editable Adobe Illustrator (.AI) or InDesign (.INDD) source file. • Print-ready PDF with crop marks, bleed zones, and technical ink layers separate from artwork. • CMYK color profile calibration optimized for uncoated, matte textured paper.
