Tekla Fabrication Drawing Automation

We are looking for an experienced Tekla Structures developer to automate our structural steel and aluminium detailing workflow. Our objective is to generate fabrication-ready drawings directly from existing Tekla models, reduce manual corrections and AutoCAD editing, and streamline drawing updates and exports. Scope of work - Generate fabrication drawings with dimensions, angles, sections, detail views, part marks and material lists according to our standards. - Apply our drawing templates and settings consistently. - Update drawings following model changes and identify affected drawings for review. - Automate DWG/IFC exports, including naming and folder organization. - Add basic drawing completeness checks and flag unsupported cases. - Use existing Tekla capabilities where appropriate, supplemented by custom development. The assembly types, variations and drawing coverage will be assessed during discovery and agreed before full implementation. Pilot and acceptance We will begin with a paid pilot on a representative assembly type before expanding the solution. Testing will include different assembly variations and model revisions. Success will be assessed against approved reference drawings, drawing completeness, manual correction time inside Tekla and the need for additional AutoCAD editing. What we provide Sample Tekla models, drawing templates/settings and reference drawings showing the required output, along with access to our detailing team for clarification and review. Initial modelling, structural design and engineering calculations are outside the scope. Required experience - Tekla Structures Open API and C#/.NET. - Structural detailing and fabrication drawing requirements. - Drawing creation, automatic dimensioning, revision handling and export automation. Deliverables Working application/plugin, complete source code and build instructions, configurable rules/settings, installation documentation, user training and an agreed post-delivery defect-support period.
