AI Crypto Research Desktop App

I’ve built a working Windows desktop application called Crypto Intelligence, and I’m looking for an experienced developer who is interested in helping take it to the next level. This is already a working application, not simply an idea or prototype. The current version includes: - Tracking of the top 250 cryptocurrency assets - Price, volume, RSI, and volatility analysis - Interactive candlestick charts - SMA, EMA, Bollinger Bands, VWAP, MACD, Stochastic, and ATR - Volatility rankings and market heatmaps - Customizable market screeners - Historical market analysis - Portfolio and cost-basis tracking - P&L and asset allocation - Paper trading with long/short positions - Fees and drawdown tracking - Trading journal - Price, volume, RSI, and volatility alerts - Local SQLite storage - Cached/offline market data Privacy is an important part of the application. No exchange API keys are required for personal portfolio management, and personal user data is designed to remain locally stored. The next stage is where I think the project becomes particularly interesting. I don’t simply want to add more technical indicators. My goal is to evolve Crypto Intelligence into an AI-powered crypto research environment. For example, I want users to eventually be able to ask questions such as: “When BTC’s 7-day volatility historically crossed 60%, what happened over the following 7 days?” “Find assets that currently have increasing volume, elevated volatility, RSI below 40, and a positive medium-term trend.” “Compare the current BTC market environment with historically similar periods.” Rather than allowing an LLM to simply generate plausible-sounding financial answers, I want the application to retrieve, calculate, and analyze the relevant market data first, with AI helping users understand the resulting information. I’m looking for a developer who can explore the existing application and think about the product technically rather than simply implement a predefined checklist. Potential work includes reviewing and improving the existing architecture, optimizing performance and market-data processing, expanding historical analysis and screening capabilities, improving charts and visualization, developing asset comparison and correlation tools, and integrating AI/LLM-powered research functionality. Natural-language querying of structured market data, reliable grounding of AI responses in calculated data, and architecture that can eventually support a SaaS version are particularly interesting areas. This is not an automated trading bot or trading-signal project. The goal is to create research tools that allow users to investigate market conditions, analyze historical behavior, test ideas, understand portfolio exposure, and make their own decisions. The Windows application is the starting point. My longer-term vision is to evolve Crypto Intelligence into a broader AI-powered crypto research and analytics SaaS platform. For the right developer, this could therefore become an ongoing collaboration rather than a one-off development task. Experience with Python, Windows desktop development, SQLite, cryptocurrency APIs, financial/time-series data, technical indicators, REST APIs, WebSockets, data visualization, LLM integration, RAG, AI agents, or structured-data querying would be valuable.
