AAA Console Military Flight Simulator

I’m leading a new commercial game at Summit Technology Partners: a standalone RAAF fighter flight simulator built natively for PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. The project is moving fast, so I’m opening a freelance-contract slot for a CryEngine specialist who can help us turn a polished vertical slice into a full-scale, console-ready release. The core experience must showcase three things right away: ultra-realistic terrain and landscapes that stream flawlessly at altitude, highly detailed aircraft models down to cockpit instrumentation, and an advanced weather system that affects both visuals and flight physics. CryEngine already powers our prototype; I need someone who can push its voxel-based terrain, SVOGI lighting, volumetric clouds, and DirectX 12 feature set while keeping a locked 60 fps on both platform SDKs. You’ll own cross-platform optimisation, asset integration, and feature implementation from concept to shipping, collaborating with our internal art and physics teams through Perforce, Jira, and console-specific profiling tools. Deliverables (acceptance criteria): • A playable mission slice running on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S that demonstrates terrain streaming, dynamic weather transitions, and a fully interactive fighter cockpit. • GPU/CPU performance reports showing stable 60 fps with HDR enabled, plus memory footprints within each console’s TRC limits. • Clean, documented CryEngine source commits and build scripts ready for hand-off to our QA certification pipeline. The schedule is aggressive—work begins immediately—so candidates who have already shipped on current-gen consoles or have deep CryEngine rendering knowledge will ramp up fastest.
