Technical Communications Specialist

Client Interview & Technical Communication Lead Software Engineering Background Preferred We are a small and growing IT consulting company looking for a confident, professional communicator to represent our team in conversations with clients, stakeholders, candidates, and technology partners. This is primarily a client-facing communication role, not a software development position. Your main responsibility will be to lead meetings and interviews, understand client needs, ask the right questions, and ensure conversations are clear, productive, and professional. A software engineering or technical background is strongly preferred because many of our discussions involve software projects, development teams, technical requirements, and engineering candidates. You do not need to be actively coding in this role, but you should be comfortable discussing software development topics with clients and technical professionals.

Responsibilities

* Lead client interviews, discovery calls, and project discussions * Communicate confidently and professionally in spoken English * Represent our company in meetings with clients and business partners * Ask relevant questions to understand project goals, requirements, priorities, and concerns * Guide conversations and keep meetings focused and productive * Coordinate communication between clients, developers, candidates, and internal team members * Explain technical topics clearly when needed * Take notes and identify important requirements, decisions, and follow-up items * Build professional relationships and maintain strong communication with clients * Help create a positive and trustworthy experience for clients and partners Requirements * Excellent spoken English * Strong confidence when leading meetings and conversations * Clear, natural, and professional communication style * Strong listening skills and attention to detail * Ability to ask thoughtful follow-up questions * Comfortable communicating with international clients * Reliable, organized, and able to work independently * Able to take ownership of conversations rather than waiting for someone else to lead * Professional attitude when representing the company Preferred Qualifications * 3+ years of software engineering, IT, or technical industry experience * Experience working with US or other international clients * Familiarity with software development projects and terminology * Experience in IT consulting, account management, technical recruiting, project coordination, sales engineering, or another client-facing technology role * Experience conducting interviews, discovery calls, requirement discussions, or technical meetings What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is comfortable becoming the face and voice of our company during client conversations. You should be able to enter a meeting, introduce yourself professionally, build rapport, understand what the client is trying to achieve, ask intelligent questions, and confidently guide the discussion. You do not need to know the answer to every technical question. What matters is that you can understand the discussion, communicate clearly, identify what needs clarification, and coordinate with our technical team when necessary.
