PLC Porgramming Maple System

Maple Systems PLC & HMI Programmer – Automated Filling Machine We are looking for an experienced PLC / Industrial Automation Programmer to program and configure a Maple Systems PLC/HMI control system for an automated production filling machine. Hardware The system will use: Maple Systems HMC4043A-M Maple Systems HMC3-M1210Y0201-V2 Digital industrial scale with RS-232 communication Filling valve/nozzle controlled by the PLC Start button Additional sensors and I/O as required Main Machine Operation The filling machine will operate based on the weight received from the scale. The PLC must continuously read the live weight from the scale through RS-232. The basic filling sequence will be: Operator places a container on the scale. Operator presses the Start button. PLC verifies that the scale is communicating and receives the current weight. The system tares or records the starting weight as required. PLC activates the filling valve/nozzle. Product begins filling into the container. PLC continuously monitors the weight through the RS-232 connection. When the programmed target weight is reached, the PLC closes the filling valve/nozzle. The system indicates that the fill cycle is complete and becomes ready for the next container. The control logic may also need to compensate for product still flowing after the valve closes so that the final container weight is as accurate as possible. HMI Requirements The HMI should provide a simple operator interface that includes: Current/live scale weight Target fill weight Start control Stop control Tare function Filling status Fill complete indication Scale communication status Alarm/error messages Ability to adjust filling parameters Manual controls for setup and troubleshooting We would also like the system designed so additional machine functions can be added later. Scope of Work The freelancer will be responsible for: Programming the Maple Systems PLC Developing the HMI screens Configuring RS-232 communication with the scale Parsing the scale's serial data correctly Programming the automatic filling sequence Programming digital inputs and outputs Programming the filling valve/nozzle control Creating alarms and fault handling Testing the PLC/HMI communication Assisting with commissioning and troubleshooting Providing the complete editable PLC and HMI project/source files when the project is completed We can provide the scale manufacturer/model and RS-232 communication protocol. Required Experience We are specifically looking for someone with experience in: Maple Systems PLC/HMI programming MAPware-7000 HMC Series controllers PLC programming HMI development RS-232 / serial communications Reading weighing scales or other serial devices from a PLC Industrial machine automation Solenoid valves, sensors, relays, and machine I/O Filling, batching, weighing, or packaging equipment Experience programming weight-based filling or batching systems is strongly preferred. This is an initial filling-machine project, but we are looking for an automation programmer who may be able to assist us with additional production equipment projects in the future.
