In this role, you will own complex lease administration activities, maintain lease data integrity, support ASC 842 / IFRS 16 and SOX compliance, and improve reporting and controls within our lease management system, CoStar. You’ll partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Tax, Legal, and external landlords and brokers to ensure lease obligations are accurately captured, payments are processed appropriately, and critical dates and contractual requirements are effectively managed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interpreting complex agreements, solving problems, and improving processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. What You’ll Do Own lease abstraction and interpretation for complex and non-standard data center, real estate, and equipment leases. Review and approve lease abstractions and data entry completed by Lease Analysts and third-party providers, providing quality-control sign-off. Manage critical lease dates, including renewals, terminations, escalations, and notice deadlines. Coordinate with Accounts Payable and DC leadership to ensure timely and accurate lease payments and approvals. Partner with landlords and brokers to resolve billing disputes, reconcile CAM, operating expenses, and tax charges, and confirm lease commencement and rent commencement dates. Perform desk audits of annual operating expense statements to validate charges against lease terms. Interpret complex commercial lease provisions related to rent, taxes, insurance, power usage, cross-connects, and other contractual obligations. Support lease negotiations, amendments, and legal redlines by providing lease administration expertise and historical context. Maintain accurate lease data in CoStar, identify data quality issues, and implement improvements to strengthen controls and reporting. Support ASC 842, IFRS 16, and SOX compliance, including internal and external audit requests, documentation, and data validation. Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, KPI dashboards, critical-date trackers, and briefing materials for internal stakeholders and leadership. Serve as a primary point of contact for landlord and broker relationships, including escalations and issue resolution. Build strong relationships with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Tax, and Legal to ensure timely and accurate lease information. Train, mentor, and provide quality oversight for Lease Analysts. Drive continuous improvement across lease administration workflows, reporting, controls, and system utilization. Serve as backup to the Lease Administration Manager during absences, including approvals, escalations, and time-sensitive decisions. Support Tax with VAT recovery activities as needed by region.

Strong understanding of ASC 842 / IRFS 16 and lease accounting principles. Demonstrated experience reviewing, interpreting, and administering complex commercial lease agreements and amendments. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience identifying discrepancies and resolving complex lease or billing issues. Ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
