Experienced Chartered Accountant for Dubai-Based Company - UAE resident only

We are seeking an experienced accountant to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting for our Dubai-based company. This is an ongoing engagement, ideal for someone familiar with UAE accounting practices and compliance requirements. ONLY APPLY IF U ARE UAE BASED Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate books of accounts (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations) - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) - Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including timely filing of VAT returns - Handle payroll processing and WPS (Wage Protection System) compliance - Assist with corporate tax filings under UAE Corporate Tax law - Liaise with auditors for annual audit preparation - Manage invoicing, expense tracking, and vendor payments - Provide monthly financial summaries and flag any discrepancies or cash flow concerns - Maintain organized digital records for all financial documents Requirements: - Proven experience as an accountant/bookkeeper for a UAE-registered company (mainland or free zone) - Strong knowledge of UAE VAT law and Corporate Tax regulations - Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or Xero) - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong written and verbal English communication skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Prior experience with free zone company compliance is a plus (please specify which free zone/mainland experience you have) Nice to Have: - CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification - Experience working with small-to-mid-size businesses or startups - Familiarity with UAE labor law as it relates to payroll Engagement Details: - Type: Part-time/ongoing, hours flexible based on workload [The Administrator removed this message for encouraging communication outside Freelancer.com. which breaches our Terms and Conditions.]- Please include in your proposal: relevant UAE experience, software you're proficient in, and your availability/timezone overlap -Monthly Retainer For payments
