Website Contact Form Backend Setup

I have a contact form designed on the front-end of my site, but right now it is only cosmetic. I need the backend logic written so visitors can actually fill it out and have their information processed correctly. Here’s what I expect: the form fields should validate on the server, sanitize input, and then route the data to my preferred destination—whether that’s an email inbox, a database table, or both. After submission, users should see a clean success or error message, and spam prevention (simple CAPTCHA or comparable measure) must be in place. Please build this with clean, well-commented server-side scripting so I can maintain it later, and deploy it to my existing hosting environment without breaking anything else on the site.
