À propos de l'offre

The Mission We’re hunting a rare breed: a marketing ace who can sell a science-fiction comedy about four burned-out detectives stuck investigating a murdered wizards inside a sentient haunted house. There is a mad scientist involved later on. Think The X-Files crashed into Star Trek, then got blackout drunk with and woke up in October. This book is pure Halloween rocket fuel: spooky, absurd, sharp, and built for readers who want laughs with their beer. We need someone who can make the entire internet say, “Wait… murdered wizards *and* mad scientists? In a haunted house? I’m in.” What You’ll Actually Do - Craft a launch campaign that feels like a high-stakes investigation itself—teasers that drop like evidence, trailers that raise more questions than they answer, and social content that walks the perfect line between creepy and hilarious. - Position the book as the ultimate Halloween-season read: October book-club bait, gift-for-the-weirdo-in-your-life gold, and the kind of title that shows up in every “spooky sci-fi comedy” listicle. - Build intrigue around the core premise without spoiling the bodies (or the punchlines). Four jaded detectives. Dead wizards. A house that may or may not be the killer. Mad scientists who keep making everything worse. Sell the vibe. - Own the visual and tonal identity: darkly funny, stylishly gothic, with just enough lab-coat chaos to keep it from becoming pure horror. - Drive orders, early reviews, influencer seeding (bookstagram, BookTok, Weird Twitter/X,). - Measure what works, kill what doesn’t, and keep the energy high through release week and the entire Halloween window. Who We’re Looking For You’re the marketing equivalent of a detective who’s seen too much but still shows up with coffee and a plan. You: - Live for genre mashups and know exactly how to sell “funny + creepy + smart.” - Have launched (or helped launch) books, games, or entertainment properties that punched above their weight. - Can write copy that makes people laugh and then immediately feel a little unsettled. - Understand seasonal windows—especially Halloween—and how to own them without being tacky. - Are comfortable operating with a lean team, weird source material, and zero corporate bureaucracy. - Secretly (or not-so-secretly) love the idea of murdered wizards and mad scientists sharing the same crime scene. What Success Looks Like Readers finish the book and immediately text their friends: “You have to read this. It’s about detectives, dead wizards, a haunted house, and scientists who should probably be in prison.” The book becomes a seasonal staple people recommend every October. And somewhere, a mad scientist is very, very annoyed that we made the whole thing funny. If you can sell murder, magic, science, and sarcasm in the same breath—and make it the hottest Halloween read of the year—we need you on the case. Apply with a short note explaining why this particular brand of chaos is your kind of crime scene. Plus any experience you may have with books. Bonus points for a campaign concept.
