Electrical Estimator Required – Australian Electrical Projects We are an electrical contracting company based in Sydney, NSW. We are looking for an experienced electrical estimator to assist with takeoffs and pricing from plans and specifications.

include electrical quantities, labour allowances, materials, cable/conduit quantities, lighting, power, switchboards and low-voltage/security where applicable. Experience with Australian electrical construction projects is preferred. Work will initially be on a project-by-project basis, with the potential for ongoing work. I need a detailed pre-construction estimate for a commercial project that covers lighting installation, power distribution, plus CCTV, MATV and security provisions. You will work directly from the drawings and specifications I provide, translating every circuit, fixture, device and conduit run into a clear materials and labour take-off. The final package should let me see, at a glance, both unit and extended costs, broken down by system, with allowances for contingency and any quoted subcontractor numbers I supply. Please deliver: • An itemised spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets) showing quantity, unit price and total for each material and labour line. • A concise summary sheet highlighting overall budget, soft costs and mark-ups ready for client presentation. • Your annotated plan set or marked-up PDF (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Accubid or similar) so I can verify each count. Accuracy to current NEC standards and local code is essential. If you have suggestions on value-engineering alternatives, include them as optional notes—those insights often win bids for us.
