Senior Process Equipment Engineer Needed

I am seeking an experienced Process Equipment Engineer specialising in separation technologies to provide technical expertise during both the tendering and detailed engineering phases of projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in process design, equipment selection, preliminary sizing and performance evaluation of separation equipment used in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing and environmental applications.

The role

will be divided into two distinct phases: - Phase 1 – Tendering & Conceptual Engineering: Review client requirements, develop preliminary process designs, recommend equipment sizing and provide technical input for competitive bids. - Phase 2 – Detailed Engineering Support: Provide specialist process engineering support, validate equipment designs and assist the engineering team through project execution. Key Responsibilities: - Review client enquiries, technical specifications, process datasheets, P&IDs and applicable engineering standards. - Assess process conditions, fluid properties, operating envelopes and separation performance requirements. - Identify missing information and prepare technical clarification queries for clients. - Evaluate and recommend suitable separation technologies based on process requirements. - Perform preliminary process calculations and equipment sizing for separators, scrubbers, cyclones, demisters, coalescers and associated process equipment. - Prepare preliminary Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and high-level Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). - Develop preliminary heat and material balances where required. - Define key operating parameters, design criteria, separation efficiencies and equipment performance expectations. - Prepare preliminary equipment datasheets and process design inputs for mechanical engineering and costing. - Identify key technical risks, design assumptions, limitations and potential deviations. - Provide technical inputs for preparation of techno-commercial proposals, including equipment sizing, utility requirements and performance guarantees.
