US IT PM: Contracts & Finance

I need an experienced project manager based in the United States to take full ownership of several ongoing IT / software-development initiatives. Your core focus will be the contractual and financial health of each project, while still keeping the development team moving smoothly. Scope of responsibility • Contract management – draft, review, negotiate and track statements of work, change orders and vendor agreements so nothing slips through the cracks. • Budget tracking – build and maintain live cost dashboards, flag variances early and propose corrective actions that protect margin without derailing scope. • Team coordination – run sprint planning and daily stand-ups, remove blockers and keep everyone aligned on priorities and deliverables. Methodology We operate in an Agile environment and rely heavily on Scrum ceremonies. Comfort leading sprint reviews, retrospectives and backlog grooming sessions is essential. Tools you are already fluent in (or comparable equivalents) will likely include Jira, Confluence, Slack, and a cloud-based accounting platform for real-time budget reporting. Success looks like this: contracts are watertight and up to date, budgets remain within agreed tolerances, stakeholders get clear weekly status summaries, and the dev team hits sprint goals without surprise scope creep.
