I run a public Telegram channel with 30 000+ members but only a fraction appear truly active. I need a specialist who can dive into the Telegram API / MTProto from the vantage point of a regular member account and tell me, with evidence, exactly what member-level data is retrievable. The priority is clear: I want to know whether user IDs and usernames can be enumerated, how many can be reached, and under which technical or policy constraints. While you are exploring, please note any practical way to spot genuinely engaged users, describe the rate limits you hit, and flag the differences I would face if I ever upgraded the account’s role. Deliverables • A concise proof-of-concept script or notebook that demonstrates the maximum data you were able to pull as a standard member, including any authentication flow and MTProto calls used. • A written report (PDF or Markdown) that explains: – Which data points are accessible and how reliable they are. – API limitations tied to channel type, privacy settings, and rate limits. – What is definitely impossible without elevated rights. – Ethical, policy-compliant methods I can use to invite or interact with interested users in another channel I own. The end goal is clarity: I want to know what is doable today, what is off-limits, and have a working example I can build on.
