À propos de l'offre

Hi, I am looking for a qualified mechanical or composites engineer to help reverse engineer a 3D scan of a fixed-back carbon-fiber bucket seat and develop a structurally validated, production-ready design. The goal is to create an accurate, editable CAD model and evaluate the seat’s structural strength using appropriate engineering software, such as finite element analysis (FEA), before committing to production tooling. Please provide a proposal covering the following scope of work: Review of the 3D scan data and assessment of its quality, accuracy, and suitability for reverse engineering. Conversion of the scan into clean, editable, parametric 3D CAD geometry. Reconstruction of the seat shell, mounting interfaces, brackets, inserts, and other relevant structural features. Creation of manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, datums, material callouts, and inspection requirements. Development or recommendation of the carbon-fiber laminate schedule, including ply orientations, thicknesses, reinforcement areas, core materials, inserts, and material specifications. Structural analysis using CAD-based FEA or another appropriate simulation method to evaluate stiffness, strength, deformation, stress concentrations, failure modes, and load transfer through the shell, brackets, inserts, fasteners, and mounting points. Definition of realistic load cases and boundary conditions based on the intended vehicle application, seat-belt loads, occupant loads, mounting loads, and other relevant requirements. Identification of assumptions, limitations, safety factors, material properties, mesh settings, contact conditions, and other inputs used in the analysis. Recommendations for physical prototype testing to correlate the simulation results and validate the final design. Preparation of a production-ready bill of materials, manufacturing instructions, inspection criteria, and quality-control documentation. Delivery of all agreed editable CAD files, drawings, FEA files, analysis reports, tooling designs, material specifications, and revision history. Clear identification of any work that must be completed by an independent testing laboratory or qualified certification organization. The structural analysis should not be limited to a visual stress plot. Please include a written engineering report explaining the model setup, material properties, laminate definition, load cases, constraints, mesh convergence, results, safety factors, failure criteria, and design recommendations. For composite analysis, please identify the failure criteria used, such as maximum stress, maximum strain, Tsai-Hill, Tsai-Wu, Hashin, or another appropriate method. Please also identify whether you can perform the following services: 3D scan cleanup and inspection. CAD reconstruction. Composite laminate design. FEA and structural analysis. I can provide the following information and components as needed: The original 3D scan files. Photographs and measurements of the reference seat. The physical reference seat, if required. Intended mounting locations and hardware. mounting points. My goal is to develop a structurally engineered product—not simply reproduce a surface model. The final design should be suitable for prototype fabrication, physical validation, and informed production planning. Thank you.
