Location-Based Professional Networking App

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to help build a new web application from start to finish. The project will be developed based on an existing design and defined product direction. The selected developer will work closely with the person responsible for the design, turning the provided screens, user flows, and requirements into a functional, responsive, production-ready web application. The initial development timeline is approximately 2 months. About the Application The platform will be a web application designed to connect people primarily based on location and purpose or interest. In simple terms, users will be able to: create and access an account; set up basic profile information; select a location; indicate a purpose or interest; view relevant people or opportunities based on those criteria; use the application on both desktop and mobile devices. At this initial stage, the platform will not include an internal messaging or chat system. The main logic and user experience will be based on a combination of location, availability, and the purpose selected by the user.

Responsibilities

The developer should be capable of handling the full-stack development of the project, including: implementing the Front-End based on the provided designs; developing the Back-End and application logic; designing and integrating the database; user registration, login, and authentication; profile management; location and geolocation-related functionality; filters and user-matching logic; Front-End and Back-End integration; development of the APIs required for the platform; responsive development for desktop and mobile devices; error handling and validations; testing of the main features; production environment setup and deployment; basic code organization and documentation. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone with solid experience developing complete web applications and enough autonomy to turn specifications and designs into working features. Experience in the following areas is important: Full-Stack Development; modern Front-End development; Back-End development; databases; APIs; user authentication; responsive web applications; Git/version control; web application deployment. Experience with applications involving maps, geolocation, matching systems, marketplaces, social networks, or other location-based platforms will be considered a strong advantage. We are not committed to a specific technology stack. The developer may recommend the architecture and technologies they believe are most suitable, as long as they are modern, secure, scalable, and easy to maintain. Possible examples include: Front-End: React, Next.js, Vue.js, or an equivalent technology. Back-End: Node.js, Python, PHP/Laravel, or an equivalent technology. Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or an equivalent solution. Working Style The overall design and product direction will be provided. We expect the developer to: follow the provided layouts and requirements; maintain clear communication throughout development; raise technical difficulties or risks early; suggest improvements when a better solution is identified; write clean and maintainable code; deliver the complete source code for the project. The project may be divided into milestones to make development, testing, review, and validation easier to manage.
