Fractional Logistics COO Engagement

I need seasoned fractional-level leadership to take charge of our logistics operation and push it to the next tier of performance. The immediate mandate is two-fold: lift overall operational efficiency and steer day-to-day team leadership so every moving part works in sync. Operational efficiency means true, measurable gains—not slide decks. You will deep-dive current workflows, benchmark them, then drive process optimization and cost-reduction initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and order-fulfilment touchpoints. Lean, Six Sigma, value-stream mapping, WMS/ERP data pulls—whatever proven tools you prefer are welcome as long as they translate into faster cycle times and lower spend per shipment. On the people side, you will serve as the practical COO voice for supervisors and frontline leads. That involves coaching, setting clear KPIs, and making sure accountability lives all the way through the shift huddles and weekly scorecards. Deliverables I expect over the first 90 days: • Current-state process map with quantified bottlenecks • Prioritized improvement roadmap with target savings and owners • Implemented quick-win fixes showing verifiable cost reductions • KPI dashboard (automated where possible) delivered in a format my exec team can digest at a glance • Leadership cadence plan—meeting structures, reporting rhythms, and escalation paths Acceptance criteria: at least a 10 % reduction in direct logistics costs or a defensible plan tracking toward that figure, and visible cycle-time improvements for key SKUs. Access to live data via our WMS/ERP stack and full cooperation from department heads is guaranteed. Drayage operations experience necessary.
