Editor for Documentary-style Wedding Photos

Wedding Photography Editing Assistant Wanted I am a professional wedding photographer looking for someone proficient in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to assist me with photo selection and post-production. My photographic style is primarily documentary/reportage. I take a large number of photographs during weddings and frequently use burst mode, so the initial volume of material may seem considerable—but there is no need to be overwhelmed. Many photographs belong to the same sequence, and only the best shots from each moment need to be retained. The person I am looking for will be responsible for: -reviewing the entire set of photographs; -removing obvious mistakes, duplicates, and unusable shots; -identifying the strongest photographs from each sequence; -recovering and enhancing any image that may have narrative or expressive value; -completing the post-production of the selected images and delivering a well-organised Lightroom gallery, edited to the highest possible standard. In documentary photography, a slightly blurred or imperfectly focused photograph should not necessarily be discarded. It may convey emotion, movement, and authenticity, contributing to the sense of reality that characterises my work. After this initial selection, I will personally choose the final approximately 200 photographs to be highlighted as the best images from the wedding. However, the couple will receive the entire edited wedding reportage, which may include as many as 2,000–2,500 photographs. Particular attention should be given to the so-called “emotional sessions”: the more carefully staged and directed photographs of the couple, usually taken between the ceremony and the reception. For these images, it is important to select and edit the most expressive photographs carefully, paying close attention to poses, expressions, composition, and details. I am looking for someone who is precise, reliable, visually sensitive, and able to recognise the difference between a genuine technical mistake and an imperfection that can become a meaningful part of the story. The fee for the complete assignment is a fixed €60 per wedding.
