Project Title Professional Book Formatting & Typesetting – 100-Page 6×9 Non-Fiction Book for Amazon KDP Project Description I am looking for an experienced book formatter/typesetter to professionally format a completed non-fiction manuscript for publication through Amazon KDP. The book is approximately 100 pages and is a professional practice book aimed primarily at social workers and safeguarding professionals. The manuscript is complete and has already been edited. I am not looking for rewriting, developmental editing or changes to the content. I need someone to turn the completed manuscript into a clean, polished and professionally presented book interior. The finished book will be 6 × 9 inches and should have the appearance of a professionally published practice/academic book rather than a generic self-publishing template. The manuscript is predominantly text and includes Parts, chapters and subheadings, bullet points, short quotations and questions, a contents page, references, and a framework diagram. Work Required * Professional formatting and typesetting of approximately 100 pages * 6 × 9 inch paperback format * Clean, professional typography suitable for a social-work/practice publication * Consistent hierarchy for Parts, chapters, headings and subheadings * Appropriate margins and gutter for Amazon KDP * Professional paragraph spacing and alignment * Running headers and page numbers where appropriate * Professional Part and chapter opening pages * Proper handling of widows, orphans and awkward page breaks * Consistent formatting of bullet points, quotations and highlighted questions * Professional presentation of the reference section * Contents page with correct final page numbers * Appropriate placement and sizing of the supplied CLARITY framework diagram * Final check for formatting and layout inconsistencies * Print-ready PDF suitable for upload to Amazon KDP * Editable source file * Up to two rounds of reasonable formatting revisions I am primarily commissioning the paperback/print interior. Kindle/EPUB formatting is not required unless you are able to include it within the agreed price. Important The manuscript should not be rewritten or substantially edited. Please do not change terminology, headings or the CLARITY framework without discussing it with me first. If you notice an apparent spelling, grammatical or textual error, please flag it rather than making substantive changes. I am looking for good typography and professional book presentation rather than elaborate graphic design. When Bidding Please include: 1. Examples of non-fiction, academic or professional books that you have personally formatted/typeset. 2. Confirmation that you have experience preparing interiors for Amazon KDP. 3. The software you will use. Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher preferred. 4. Confirmation that I will receive the editable source file as well as the final PDF. 5. Confirmation that your bid includes up to two rounds of formatting revisions. 6. Your estimated completion time. 7. Your fixed price for the complete project. Budget: £70–£100 fixed price. £100 is my maximum budget, so please do not bid above this amount. The completed Word manuscript and framework diagram will be supplied to the successful freelancer. Once I receive PDF I will order a proof copy, prior to completion of project
