I have a steady flow of custom build work and I’m looking for reliable help turning concept sketches and models into clear, fabrication-ready shop drawings. Projects can involve anything from light-gauge steel and aluminum brackets to hardwood millwork or occasional plastic components, so the ability to detail across materials is important. You will receive either 3D models (STEP, SolidWorks, Inventor) or hand sketches with key dimensions. Your task is to create fully annotated shop drawings that a fabricator can follow without further clarification—complete with dimensions, tolerances, material call-outs, welding or joinery symbols, finish notes, hardware schedules, and clearly formatted cut lists. ANSI or ISO drafting standards should guide line weights, symbols, and title block information. Typical workflow • I share reference files through Dropbox or Drive and flag any critical tolerances. • First draft expected within 48 hours for small parts (we can agree longer for larger packages). • We review via marked-up PDFs or a quick screen share; you revise until signed off for release. Deliverables 1. Final shop drawing set in DWG and PDF. 2. Cut list / bill of materials in Excel or CSV. 3. Native CAD files when 3D modeling is part of the scope. Acceptance criteria: every part dimensioned from a single datum, matching the provided design; views coordinated; item numbers tied directly to the BOM; layers and line types organized for easy downstream editing; prints scale correctly at 1:1 or noted reduction. Preferred tools include AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar—use what you are fastest with as long as I receive the standard DWG/PDF output.
