Clean Portfolio Site Design

I need a streamlined portfolio website that puts my work front and center. The core of the build is a visually balanced gallery presented in a grid layout—no sliders or masonry, just a clear, even grid that loads quickly and adapts smoothly to mobile and desktop screens. Beyond the gallery itself, keep the overall structure minimal: a landing page that immediately showcases the grid, lightweight navigation, and space for concise project captions. I am open to your preferred stack (WordPress, Webflow, custom HTML/CSS + JavaScript) as long as the final site is easy for me to update with new pieces later.
