Laravel/Vue developer needed: set up staging server and test an education platform (no production changes)

I run Proxima Study, a bilingual (English/French) Canadian education platform built with Laravel 9, Vue 3 and MySQL/MariaDB. I’m looking for an experienced Laravel developer to set up a staging website and help me verify months of new work before anything goes live. Scope (staging only): = Create a staging environment, separate from the live site, on a server or subdomain I own. = Restore a copy of the production database and files into it. Customer personal data will be removed or masked first. = Install dependencies and build the front end (the Laravel Mix build needs attention). = Run the database migrations (about 130) on the staging copy only, with backups before each run, and report any failures. = Configure test-mode services: Stripe and PayPal in test mode, outgoing mail to a test address, and file storage. = Run the existing automated test suite (80 suites, supplied) and report the results. = Support me while I run a written staging checklist in a real browser. The checklist covers payments, profile management, permissions, media uploads, English/French translations, a quotation-request form and email delivery. Report every defect clearly. Fix only the defects I approve in writing. Out of scope: - No redesign, no new features and no changes to approved designs. - No access to or changes on the live site or live database. - No deployment to production. That is a separate, later job. Required: = Strong Laravel (9) and PHP 8.x experience, plus MySQL migrations. = Linux server administration and Git workflow. = Vue 3 and Laravel Mix/Webpack build troubleshooting. = Stripe and PayPal integration experience. = Clear written English, with regular status updates. Working terms: = All hosting, domain and the Git repository are in accounts I own. You will be added as a collaborator. = All work goes through Git branches and is reviewed by me before it is merged. = You must not share, copy or keep any project code or data after the job. = You must sign a confidentiality agreement if asked.
