Build Modern Rental Platform

I’m kicking off the first phase of a brand-new real-estate rental platform and need an experienced full-stack engineer who enjoys shaping products from day one. Our immediate priority is the user onboarding and application flow: secure email-and-password registration, profile creation, document upload, and a smooth path for tenants to submit rental applications. Once that foundation is solid, we’ll expand into listings, search, and end-to-end rental management. You’ll be pairing React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the front end with a Node.js REST API on the back. I’m looking for someone who can help define the architecture, choose the right tooling, write production-ready code, and keep scalability in mind from the outset. If you have thoughts on introducing Web3 or blockchain elements later, that curiosity is a plus. Deliverables for this first milestone • A modular authentication & onboarding system (email + password, forgot/reset, verification) • Tenant application workflow (form steps, file uploads, status tracking) • Clean, documented API endpoints powering the flows above • Well-structured React/Next.js pages and reusable components • Basic test coverage and deployment scripts so we can iterate confidently There’s no hard deadline, so quality and thoughtful design trump speed.
