Senior DevOps Expert for GCP Infrastructure

Senior DevOps Engineer | GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform (Locaiton requirement : Philippine, Singaipore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Tailand, Vietnam, Indonesia) We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help us build, maintain, and improve a production cloud platform. The ideal engineer has strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/GKE, Terraform, CI/CD, cloud networking, monitoring, and production troubleshooting. This is not a basic deployment or server-maintenance role. We need someone who is comfortable taking ownership of production infrastructure, investigating difficult issues, improving reliability, and automating repetitive engineering work. ## What You’ll Work On You will help us: *Manage and improve production infrastructure on GCP * Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes / GKE clusters * Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform * Develop reusable Terraform modules * Improve CI/CD and deployment automation * Work with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Google Cloud Build, or similar tools * Automate infrastructure tasks using Python, Go, Bash, or Shell * Configure and troubleshoot cloud networking * Manage VPCs, firewalls, DNS, routing, load balancers, and WAFs * Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability * Investigate production incidents and identify root causes * Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance * Optimize cloud infrastructure costs * Improve IAM, secrets management, and infrastructure security * Secure Docker and Kubernetes workloads * Work closely with software and security engineers * Improve developer tooling and deployment workflows ## Required Skills You should have solid production experience with most of the following: * Google Cloud Platform * Kubernetes * GKE * Terraform * Docker * Linux * CI/CD * GitHub Actions * Jenkins or Google Cloud Build * Python, Go, Bash, or Shell scripting * VPC networking * Firewalls * Load balancers * DNS * IAM * Secrets management * Monitoring and logging * Production incident response * Root-cause analysis We strongly prefer engineers who have personally managed production infrastructure rather than only worked with these technologies in development or testing environments. ## Nice to Have Experience with any of these is a plus: * AWS * Azure * Ansible * Chef * Puppet * Helm * ArgoCD * Prometheus * Grafana * Google Cloud Monitoring * Google Cloud Logging * Cloud cost optimization * Kubernetes security * Container security * GCP Organization Policies * VPC Service Controls * Access Context Manager * Binary Authorization Google Cloud certifications are also a plus. ## Who We’re Looking For We would like to work with someone who: * Has around **5+ years of DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering experience** * Can work independently * Has strong troubleshooting skills * Understands distributed systems and cloud architecture * Can diagnose production problems under pressure * Writes maintainable infrastructure code * Looks for opportunities to automate manual processes * Understands both reliability and security * Communicates clearly with developers and technical teams ## Working Arrangement * Remote * Freelance / Contract * Senior-level position * Long-term collaboration possible * working-hour with the U.S. Eastern Time zone is required There may also be participation in an infrastructure support/on-call rotation. ## How to Apply Please send us: * Your DevOps / SRE experience * Years of experience with GCP * Your Terraform experience * Your Kubernetes/GKE experience * CI/CD tools you have worked with * Programming or scripting languages you use * A short example of a difficult production infrastructure problem you solved * Your availability Monthly rate : 1200 USD ~ 1600 USD Period : Long term project Please also mention **“GCP + Terraform”** at the beginning of your proposal so we know you reviewed the requirements.
