WooCommerce Multi-Country Subdirectory Implementation

I am looking for an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer who has previously implemented multi-country ecommerce websites using subdirectory-based country storefronts. I currently have a regional subdirectory structure partially implemented on my website. I need someone to audit the existing implementation, fix the issues, and complete the architecture rather than rebuild the website from scratch. Initial Scope The first phase is for one country only as a proof of concept. For example: website.com/uk/ The completed implementation must include: Proper country-specific subdirectory structure Country-specific product URLs Working product → Add to Cart journey Working country-specific Cart page Working country-specific Checkout page Working payment and order flow Country-specific pricing and currency Localized inventory availability — products should only be displayed/available based on inventory allocated to that market Correct WooCommerce functionality throughout the complete customer journey Correct handling of WooCommerce sessions, cart contents and checkout No broken links, redirect loops or duplicate URL issues SEO-friendly URL structure Proper canonical URLs Proper hreflang implementation where applicable Existing ROW/global website functionality must continue working correctly Existing pricing, shipping and WooCommerce functionality must not be disrupted Current Situation The subdirectory system is already mostly implemented. The regional pages and product URLs are currently working, but the cart/checkout journey is not functioning correctly and the existing implementation needs to be properly audited and fine-tuned. I do not want the website rebuilt from scratch. The goal is to work with the existing implementation, identify what has been done incorrectly or incompletely, and finish it properly. As part of your application, please provide: A live website where you have implemented a similar subdirectory-based country structure. A brief explanation of the architecture you implemented. How you handled WooCommerce cart and checkout across country subdirectories. How you handled country-specific pricing/currency. How you handled country-specific inventory/stock availability. Your approach to canonical URLs and hreflang. Confirmation that you understand the difference between a simple currency switcher and a genuine country-specific ecommerce storefront. Generic WordPress/WooCommerce experience is not sufficient for this project. I am specifically looking for someone who has solved this type of architecture in a real ecommerce environment. Testing & Acceptance Before the implementation is considered complete, the developer must test the full customer journey for the target country: Product → Add to Cart → Cart → Checkout → Payment → Order Confirmation The implementation must also be tested for: Correct regional URLs Correct pricing/currency Correct inventory availability Cart persistence Checkout functionality Shipping/tax behaviour Existing ROW website functionality Mobile and desktop No unintended redirects or broken URLs Future Expansion The first phase will cover one country only. Once the architecture is proven and stable, I intend to extend the same system to additional countries. Please provide your estimated timeline and cost based on the existing implementation.
