Isar Aerospace is entering an exciting new growth phase, advancing to the delivery of commercial launch services for institutional, governmental, and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director Marketing & Branding to lead the company's marketing and brand function, supporting business growth, customer acquisition, and market positioning. Working closely with Sales, Government Relations, Product, and the Executive Leadership Team, you will develop and execute marketing strategies that strengthen Isar Aerospace's brand, generate demand, and accelerate commercial success in the European and international space sector.

Leading a compact, high-performing team, you will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence to build marketing capabilities that scale alongside the company's growth ambitions.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

Brand Strategy & Positioning

Develop and continuously refine Isar Aerospace's brand strategy and positioning, ensuring alignment with the company's Mission, Vision, and Strategy.

Own and evolve the company's brand architecture, identity, messaging framework, and visual presence across all touchpoints.

Ensure consistent brand application throughout customer-facing channels, materials, events, and campaigns.

Monitor market perception, competitor positioning, and industry developments to strengthen differentiation and relevance.

Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Product, and Government Relations to ensure alignment between business objectives and market positioning.

Marketing Strategy & Demand Generation

Define and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports revenue growth, customer acquisition, partnership development, and long-term business objectives.

Develop targeted marketing programs for institutional, governmental, defense, and commercial customer segments.

Design and execute integrated campaigns across digital, content, event, and partner channels.

Create measurable demand-generation initiatives that strengthen pipeline development and sales effectiveness.

Identify and leverage emerging marketing channels, technologies, and opportunities to maximize impact.

Product Marketing & Commercial Enablement

Translate complex technical products, launch services, and customer value propositions into compelling market-facing narratives.

Develop product positioning, messaging, collateral, and go-to-market strategies for launch services and future commercial offerings.

Support sales and business development teams with customer-facing materials, competitive intelligence, and market insights.

Collaborate with technical and commercial stakeholders to ensure effective communication of product capabilities and customer benefits.

Drive market intelligence efforts to identify customer needs, industry trends, and growth opportunities.

Events, Partnerships & Market Presence

Lead Isar Aerospace's presence at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and strategic forums.

Develop marketing initiatives that strengthen visibility among key customer, partner, and institutional audiences.

Oversee event strategy, sponsorships, and industry engagement activities to maximize business impact and return on investment.

Establish partnerships that enhance brand visibility and support commercial objectives.

Digital Marketing & Content

Oversee the company's digital marketing ecosystem, including website, social media channels, marketing automation, and analytics.

Lead the creation of high-quality marketing content that supports brand awareness, customer engagement, and business development.

Optimize digital performance through data-driven decision-making, audience insights, and continuous improvement.

Establish metrics and reporting frameworks that measure marketing effectiveness and contribution to business outcomes.

Team Leadership

Lead, develop, and empower a compact marketing team, fostering an agile, collaborative, and performance-driven environment.

Build marketing capabilities, processes, and tools that support the company's continued growth and international expansion.

Manage external agencies and strategic partners as required.

Qualification Checklist

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

10+ years of international experience in B2B or B2C marketing, product marketing, brand management, or commercial strategy; experience in space, aerospace, defense-tech, industrial technology, or high-tech sectors is a strong plus.

Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that directly support revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion.

Strong experience building and managing brands in technically sophisticated or emerging industries.

Demonstrated expertise in product marketing, value proposition development, and go-to-market execution.

Experience developing marketing programs targeting enterprise, government, institutional, or defense customers.

Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience measuring marketing effectiveness and business impact.

Exceptional ability to translate complex technical products and services into compelling customer-focused messages.

Experience leading and developing a small, high-performing team.

Strong commercial acumen and ability to work effectively across sales, product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
