Cute Cat Character Design + Rive Animation for a Cozy App

Character designer + animator for a cozy cat app (Rive) – paid first phase, more work to follow We're building Purrday, a cozy habit, focus and screen-time app for iOS and Android. A black-and-white cat lives in a small hand-painted room on your phone. We need one consistent cat character that we can use everywhere in the app and marketing. PHASE 1 (this job): 1. Character model sheet: front, side, back and 3/4 view, proportions, color palette, and 5–6 facial expressions (calm, sleepy, happy, curious, proud, eyes closed). 2. One idle animation in Rive: the cat sitting, slow breathing, ear twitch, tail flick, seamless loop. The cat: - A real cat with no clothing or accessories - Black-and-white coat pattern (often called "tuxedo"): dark warm brown-black body (#463B30), cream chest and belly (#F0D7AF), white muzzle and chin, cream paws (#DECBAC) - Chubby, cute chibi proportions (slightly big head) - Peach-pink inner ears (#D9967A), small pink nose, amber eyes - Calm, gentle, sleepy personality, never hyper - Style: warm storybook / cozy-game look, soft hand-painted texture, soft dark-brown outline (no pure black). It must match our existing room illustrations (we'll share them). PHASE 2 (if phase 1 goes well): poses (curled up asleep, loaf, walking, stretching) and about 6–8 more Rive animations (sleep loop, wake up, walk cycle, happy reaction, purr when petted, stretch, waiting at the window). Built as one Rive file with a state machine.

Requirements

- Payment through Freelancer milestones, released on approval - Rive (.riv) source files delivered, plus layered PSD/AI/SVG for the model sheet - Cat rigged in layers so we can change coat colors from code later - Full commercial rights and IP transfer to us - Please share portfolio links with cute animal characters and looping animations (Rive experience is a big plus) In your proposal, please include your price and timeline for Phase 1, and a rough estimate for Phase 2.
