Classical Music Recording

I need a high-quality recording of a small ensemble, like a quartet or chamber group. This recording is for an audition, competition, or application and requires several separate pieces or movements. I'm a classical music composer in the Boston area. I'm writing to you because I have a recording session coming up for one of my compositions, on Saturday October 31st from 1:30-2:30pm, in Somerville MA. I just found out that the recording that I booked comes with a basic stereo mic setup, which may not be enough for what I was envisioning. This piece is a Concerto Grosso, which means that it is written for four solo string players (two violinists, a violist, and a cellist) plus string orchestra. I am considering having good quality mics to capture the soloists, and possibly someone to also mix and edit a good recording afterwards. The latter is something that I may be able to handle myself, as I have experience in basic audio mixing and editing. Is this something that you'd be interesting in taking up,? And if so, what would the price be? What sort of mics would you use for this classical composition? Let me know asap. Thank you!
