Sales Manager — U.S. Cleaning Services Remote | Part-Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Base Pay + Commission & Bonuses About Sharpen Sharpen Agency Cleaning Services is a growing professional cleaning company serving residential and commercial clients in the Philadelphia, Bucks County, and South Jersey markets. We are restructuring our sales operation and are looking for an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to take ownership of our sales execution, strengthen our pipeline, and help us generate consistent revenue. This is not a management-only position. We need a hands-on sales leader who is willing to prospect, make calls, follow up with leads, close business, and coach our existing Business Development Representative (BDR).
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both selling and leading the sales function. Your responsibilities will include: Personally prospecting and generating new residential and commercial cleaning opportunities Making outbound calls and conducting sales conversations with U.S.-based prospects Following up aggressively and professionally with inbound and outbound leads Qualifying prospects and moving opportunities through the sales pipeline Closing residential and commercial cleaning contracts Managing and coaching our current BDR Reviewing BDR calls, activity, appointments, and conversion performance Developing and improving sales scripts, email sequences, follow-up strategies, and objection-handling techniques Managing sales activity and opportunities through HubSpot CRM Maintaining accurate pipeline stages, notes, tasks, and follow-up dates Developing outbound strategies targeting businesses, property managers, offices, facilities, and other commercial prospects Building a consistent sales process that can eventually support additional BDRs and sales representatives Providing weekly sales forecasts and performance reports directly to the CEO Identifying weaknesses in our current sales process and recommending improvements Helping establish KPIs and accountability standards across the sales function Who We're Looking For We are especially interested in candidates who have: Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, sales management, or account acquisition Experience selling to customers or businesses in the United States Excellent spoken and written English Strong cold-calling and outbound prospecting skills Experience personally closing sales—not just managing salespeople Experience managing or coaching BDRs/SDRs Strong follow-up and objection-handling skills Experience with HubSpot or another major CRM The ability to work independently without constant supervision Strong organization and pipeline-management skills A highly accountable, performance-driven mindset Experience selling commercial cleaning, janitorial services, facilities services, home services, property services, staffing, SaaS, or other B2B services is highly preferred. What Success Looks Like We are not looking for someone who simply reports activity. We want someone who can turn activity into appointments, proposals, contracts, and collected revenue. During your first 90 days, you will be expected to: First 30 Days: Learn Sharpen's services, customers, pricing, CRM, and existing sales process; evaluate our current pipeline and BDR; begin prospecting and selling personally; and establish stronger sales processes and accountability. Days 31–60: Build a consistent pipeline, improve prospecting and follow-up performance, coach the BDR, increase qualified appointments and proposals, and demonstrate measurable revenue generation. Days 61–90: Demonstrate a repeatable sales process, consistent pipeline management, improved BDR performance, reliable forecasting, and measurable contribution to company revenue. Exceptional performance can lead to increased responsibility and advancement toward Senior Sales Manager and eventually Head of Sales as Sharpen grows.
This position will begin as a part-time remote role of approximately 20–25 hours per week.
