*About Real Landlording* Real Landlording is a Philadelphia-based marketplace connecting landlords and property managers with vetted local contractors and service providers. Our product and core matching workflow are built. We now need a hands-on growth marketer who can turn our community, content, vendor network, partnerships, and customer insights into a measurable growth engine. *The outcome you will own* Increase: Qualified service requests from landlords Successful matches and completed jobs Repeat use and referrals Participation from strong local vendors Revenue-producing partnerships This is primarily a marketing and growth role. You will collaborate with operations and product, but you will not be responsible for routine bookkeeping, administrative processing, or software development. *What you’ll do* Audit our current acquisition and conversion funnel. Build and execute a prioritized 90-day growth plan. Clarify our two-sided value proposition for landlords and vendors. Turn our existing Facebook community into measurable engagement, service requests, referrals, and repeat usage. Plan campaigns across community, email, social content, partnerships, and referral channels. Conduct landlord and vendor interviews to understand why people convert, disappear, decline work, or fail to return. Translate customer insights into messaging, campaigns, content briefs, and product recommendations. Build relationships with property managers, investor communities, contractors, insurers, attorneys, associations, and other potential partners. Develop lifecycle and re-engagement campaigns for landlords and vendors. Coordinate with our existing community, content, and product contributors. Work with the founder to define funnel metrics and improve measurement in PostHog and our internal CRM. Maintain a weekly experiment backlog and report what was tested, learned, stopped, or expanded. We want thoughtful experimentation—not activity for activity’s sake. Success is measured by qualified requests, completed jobs, repeat usage, vendor participation, partnerships, and revenue—not impressions or follower counts alone. *Who we’re looking for* You should have: Demonstrated experience growing an early-stage marketplace, local-services business, PropTech company, or similarly complex two-sided business Strong marketing judgment combined with hands-on execution Experience with community-led growth, lifecycle/email marketing, partnerships, and customer research The ability to write effective campaign copy and creative briefs Comfort using funnel data to prioritize work and evaluate results Examples showing measurable business outcomes—not only reach or engagement Excellent professional English and the ability to speak with Philadelphia-based customers and partners during some Eastern Time business hours The initiative to identify the next useful experiment without waiting for a detailed task list Experience in real estate, property management, home services, contractor marketing, Facebook Groups or PostHog is helpful but not mandatory. This is not the right role if: You primarily schedule social posts Your default answer is paid advertising You only provide strategy and expect someone else to execute it You report primarily on impressions followers or content volume You need a mature marketing department and detailed daily instructions *Engagement structure* We propose starting with a four-week paid trial at approximately 15–20 hours per week. The relationship can become an ongoing fractional role if there is a strong fit. The schedule is flexible but some availability during US Eastern Time is required for interviews partner conversations team meetings. *First Four Weeks Focus* - Understand our product users current operations. - Speak directly with landlords service providers to identify key problems opportunities. - Help Sheryl with day-to-day operations follow-ups. - Audit our current US go-to-market approach launch at least one practical growth experiment. - Identify implement useful AI/automation improvements. The main outcome should be clear understanding of where they can create the most value plus visible progress as opposed to just strategy document.
