Title: Node.js (TypeScript) Developer: Fix User Profile, Prevent Duplicate Accounts, Merge Accounts and SMS Invitations

Budget: ₹25,000 (fixed, milestone-based) Timeline: 7 days maximum Project Overview We have an existing Node.js application written in TypeScript and need an experienced developer to fix and improve our user profile module. The work is split into three milestones. Each milestone must be completed, tested, and approved before payment is released and the next milestone begins. Milestone 1: Prevent Duplicate Accounts (₹8,000, 2 days) Identify why duplicate accounts are being created (same email or phone number). Add validation at the API and database level, such as unique constraints and normalized email and phone formats. Handle edge cases like letter case differences in emails, country codes in phone numbers, and simultaneous signup requests. Return clear error messages to the frontend. Acceptance: No duplicate account can be created through signup, invitation, or social login. Milestone 2: Merge Existing Duplicate Accounts (₹10,000, 3 days) Write a safe script or admin API to find existing duplicate accounts. Merge them into one primary account, moving all related data (profile, history, relationships, etc.) without loss. Keep a log or backup of merged records so changes can be reviewed or rolled back. Test on a staging copy of the data before running in production. Acceptance: Duplicates are merged with no data loss and a merge log is provided. Milestone 3: SMS Notification on New Invitation (₹7,000, 2 days) Send an SMS to the user whenever a new invitation is sent. Integrate with our SMS provider (e.g., Twilio, MSG91, or similar; details shared after hiring). Add proper error handling, retries, and logging for failed messages. Make the SMS text easy to edit through a template or config. Acceptance: Invitations trigger an SMS reliably, and failures are logged without breaking the invitation flow.
