Free Moving Marketplace — Website Development Project Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Bubble developer to build Free Moving Marketplace, a customer-facing moving-services marketplace initially serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a marketplace, not a moving company. Customers will submit moving information, receive manually prepared guaranteed price quotes, and either book at that price or participate in a moving-date auction. The website should be professional, mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and built primarily using Bubble's existing functionality. We want a straightforward, cost-effective implementation with minimal custom development. Most administrative operations will be handled manually. Customer Accounts and Moving Inventory Customers can register, log in, and access their own moving information. Customers enter their moving date, pickup address, and delivery address. Customers can upload multiple furniture photos, upload written inventory lists, or manually select furniture and quantities from our predefined furniture catalog. We will provide the master furniture catalog, including item descriptions and cubic-foot values. The catalog must remain editable within Bubble. All customer submissions must be stored in Bubble's database and accessible to us through its built-in administrative tools. We will manually review inventories, calculate cubic footage and mileage, and determine guaranteed moving prices outside the website. We will enter the guaranteed price into Bubble and communicate it to the customer. Customers can accept their guaranteed price or enter the auction. Simplified Moving-Date Auctions We will operate one auction per moving date, with one winning customer per date. Customers click "Enter Auction" and submit a dollar bid through a simple website form. Each bid must be associated with the customer's account, moving date, and guaranteed price quote. Bid information will be recorded in Google Sheets for manual auction management. Customers compete only against others with the same moving date. We will manually calculate scores, manage rankings, close auctions, and select winners. Auction scoring formula: Score = (Customer Bid ÷ Customer Guaranteed Quote × 100) + Approved Social Media Tokens Customers are ranked by their scores, not simply by their dollar bids. Each approved social media post adds one token, equivalent to one additional score point. The website must display a simple leaderboard for each moving date showing anonymous bidder IDs, rankings, and scores. We will manage leaderboard data in Google Sheets. The website should display the leaderboard and reflect our spreadsheet updates. Customers can click "View Auction Rankings" to see their moving date's leaderboard. No automated scoring, live bidding engine, or automatic winner-selection system is required. We will manually announce the winner. The winning customer pays their winning dollar bid amount, not their guaranteed quote. They have 24 hours after the auction closes to submit payment. We will arrange moving-company fulfillment separately, outside the website. Referral and Social Media Tokens We will use Google Forms and Google Sheets to manage the referral program. Each auction participant receives a unique referral link or code to share with friends and family. Customers and their friends or family can submit links to qualifying social media posts through a Google Form. Friends and family do not need website accounts. Submissions are collected in Google Sheets. We manually review and approve social media posts. Each approved post earns one token, adding one point to the customer's auction score. We manually update token totals and auction rankings in our Google Sheets leaderboard. The website should provide customers with their referral link or code and straightforward access to the referral submission form. No custom referral-management system or automatic token approval is required. Bubble Database and Administration We want to use Bubble's existing database editor and administrative functionality rather than build a custom admin dashboard. Bubble must support: Customer accounts and login. Moving dates and pickup/delivery addresses. Furniture selections, quantities, uploaded photos, and inventory lists. Viewing and managing customer submissions. Manual entry and updating of guaranteed price quotes. Customer bids and auction information. Basic customer records and booking/payment statuses. Google Sheets will handle auction scoring, rankings, and referral tokens. Google Forms will collect social media post submissions. Stripe will handle payments. We will manually manage quotes, referral approvals, auctions, winners, payment verification, and booking confirmations. No custom administrative dashboard or reporting system is required. Any additional administrative functionality must be approved in advance. Payments and Bookings When a customer accepts their guaranteed quote, we manually send a Stripe payment link for the quoted amount. Auction winners receive a manually issued Stripe payment link for their winning bid amount, with payment due within 24 hours of auction closing. We manually email customers payment instructions and booking confirmations. We manually verify payments through Stripe and update booking/payment statuses in Bubble. Bubble only needs to store customer quotes, booking details, and payment/booking statuses. No custom Stripe integration, saved payment cards, automatic charging, or automated payment workflows are required. Customer-Facing Information Customers must be able to access the following information on the website: Their submitted moving details, inventory, and guaranteed price quote. Their submitted auction bid and moving date. Their moving-date auction leaderboard. Their booking status, such as pending or confirmed.
