I’m ready to move from concept to full engineering drawings for a small earthen dam that will impound a neighborhood fishing lake. The structure will be roughly 300 ft long with a normal pool depth of about 18 ft, and a lightly travelled access road—used mainly by cars, pickups, and the occasional delivery or maintenance truck—will run across the crest. Your brief: • Size, profile, and materials for the embankment, including road‐surfacing recommendations that suit intermittent light-truck traffic. • Hydraulic calculations and sizing for both primary and emergency spillways that safely pass a 100-year flood. • Stability analyses (slope, seepage, freeboard) appropriate for an earthen dam of this scale. • Annotated plan, section, and detail sheets in PDF and editable CAD; a concise design memo explaining assumptions, methods, and results; and a bill of quantities suitable for contractor pricing.
