Amazon India Scraping API

I need a small service that does two things seamlessly. First, once a month it should crawl Amazon and pull only those products whose “Country of Origin” field shows India. From each matching listing I’m interested in the product name, its full description, current rating score and review count, plus the Country-of-Origin flag itself. Everything you gather should be written into a MySQL table so I can query it later. Second, I want a REST-style API exposed on my Hostinger account that reads from that database and returns clean, focused search results. If someone asks the endpoint for “fridge”, I must not see fridge magnets or unrelated accessories—just actual refrigerators. The API has to run behind a localhost restriction (i.e. accept calls only from 127.0.0.1), yet still sit on Hostinger so I can interact with it through server-side scripts. Key points you should cover while building: • Schedule the scraper to run monthly without manual intervention. • Respect Amazon’s structure changes with selectors that are easy for me to tweak later. • Store data in a well-indexed MySQL schema so the API responds quickly. • Deploy the code on Hostinger and document any cron or firewall rules used to lock the API to localhost. Deliverables 1. Scraper source code with setup guide. 2. MySQL schema and seed script. 3. Deployed API with a sample CURL request returning relevant product JSON. 4. Brief read-me covering environment variables, how to update selectors, and how to run the monthly job. I’m comfortable with Python (Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium) or Node, so feel free to use whichever stack lets you meet the above goals cleanly.
