Custom Porsche Engine Swap Mount Design

I’m mid-way through an engine-swap on my Porsche and need a rock-solid design for the new motor mounts before anything heads to the machine shop. The task is design-only: I want complete drawings and precise measurements that let a fabricator build the mounts without guesswork. Here’s the situation. The donor engine doesn’t share the factory mounting points, so I have to bridge Porsche chassis geometry with the new block’s bosses while maintaining correct driveline angle, adequate clearance for exhaust and steering, and proper vibration isolation. You’ll translate those requirements into a practical mount layout, specify materials, bushing style/durometer, and include any fastener grades or torque specs that are critical. Deliverables • 3D CAD model (STEP or similar) of left and right mounts • Fully dimensioned 2D drawings as PDF/DXF suitable for CNC or manual machining • Brief calculation notes or FEA snapshots demonstrating load capacity and safety factor • Material list with part numbers or generic specs that a fabricator can source locally Acceptance criteria: the model must align with the chassis pick-up points I supply, hold the engine at the factory driveline angle ±0.5°, clear surrounding components by at least 5 mm, and show a minimum 3× safety factor under peak torque loads.
