Sobre a vaga

# Activewear & Cotton Casualwear Designer Needed — Creative Cuts & Complete Tech Packs I am looking for an experienced fashion designer to develop an activewear and cotton casualwear collection with thoughtful cuts, distinctive details, and comfortable fits. I am not looking for basic garments with a logo added or a graphic designer focused only on clothing prints. I need a specialist who understands garment design and construction, proportions, fabric drape, and how materials and stitching affect appearance and fit. The ideal designer can translate my ideas and direction into original, well-developed designs, contribute creative and practical suggestions, and prepare the technical details needed to execute them. ## Scope of Work **1. Collection Direction** - Develop concepts based on the direction, references, and instructions I provide. - Create a mood board and propose colors and fabrics. - Help develop a cohesive collection with pieces that work together. - Work with me to define the target customer, garment categories, and number of designs at the start of the project. **2. Garment Design and Cut Development** - Present initial concepts for approval before developing final designs. - Develop distinctive silhouettes and details, including necklines, sleeves, waistbands, pockets, openings, lengths, paneling, and seam placement, as appropriate. - Consider fit, freedom of movement, coverage, proportions, and functionality. - Provide clear front and back technical flats, with additional detail drawings where needed. - Propose colorways and fabric combinations for each design. **3. Fabric and Technical Specifications** - Recommend suitable fabric types, compositions, weights, and stretch properties for each garment. - Understand the different requirements of performance activewear and everyday cotton clothing. - Consider relevant fabric characteristics, including opacity, stretch recovery, shrinkage, and pilling. - Specify suitable stitching, finishes, and trims, such as elastic, zippers, and drawcords. - Suggest alternatives when needed, based on the information and feedback I provide. **4. Tech Pack Development** Prepare a separate, organized tech pack for each approved design, including the following where applicable: - Technical flats and detailed callouts. - Bill of materials (BOM). - Fabric, color, and trim specifications. - Construction, stitching, and finishing details. - Base-size measurement chart, points of measurement, and measurement tolerances. - Placement and dimensions for logos, prints, embroidery, and labels. - Technical notes needed to execute the design. Please state whether you offer pattern making and size grading. Quote these separately if they are not included in your core proposal. A tech pack is not considered a substitute for a garment pattern. **5. Revisions Following Sample Testing** - Review the photos, videos, measurements, and fitting feedback I provide. - Revise designs, measurements, and technical details according to my instructions. - Update all technical files to reflect the latest approved version. - Agree in advance on the number of included revision rounds and the cost of additional rounds. ## Required Experience - A relevant portfolio in activewear and cotton casualwear. - Strong understanding of garment cuts, fit, patterns, fabrics, and sewing techniques. - Ability to create accurate technical flats and clear, detailed tech packs. - Ability to develop original concepts rather than simply modify existing templates. - Attention to detail, responsiveness to feedback, and reliable delivery. - Proficiency in suitable design software and the ability to provide editable source files. ## Required Deliverables - Mood board and proposed color and fabric direction. - Final approved designs and technical flats. - A separate tech pack for each design. - All editable source files, along with PDF versions. - Patterns and size grading, if included in the agreed scope. - Updated final files incorporating all approved revisions. ## Ownership and Confidentiality - All designs must be original, created specifically for this project, and must not infringe third-party rights. - Upon payment for the relevant milestone, all intellectual property rights in the work created for that milestone will be assigned exclusively to me. This includes initial concepts, sketches, designs, technical documentation, and editable source files, together with the rights to commercially use, modify, and reproduce them. - Project work may not be reused, resold, shared, or displayed in a portfolio or on social media without my prior written permission. - All ideas, references, instructions, and files I share must remain confidential. - No third-party assets or elements that restrict my ownership or use may be incorporated without prior disclosure and my approval. - Ownership and confidentiality requirements will be documented in the project agreement. ## Please Include in Your Proposal 1. A brief overview of your relevant activewear and cotton clothing experience. 2. Portfolio examples demonstrating your skill in garment cuts and detailing, preferably including manufactured pieces where available. 3. A sample tech pack with confidential client information removed. 4. Your specific role in the portfolio projects you share. 5. Your proposed workflow and estimated timeline. 6. Your price per design, what it includes, and collection pricing if available. 7. The number of initial concepts and revision rounds included, plus additional revision fees. 8. The file formats you will deliver. 9. Whether you offer pattern making and size grading. 10. Confirmation that you accept the communication structure, ownership requirements, and confidentiality terms. The number of garments, budget, and timeline will be agreed upon before work begins, with clearly defined milestones. Ongoing collaboration is possible for the right designer.
