Legal Aid: FL Civil Case Post-Appeal

Project Title: Florida Legal Research and Motion Drafting Assistance – Civil Case and Appeal I am a self-represented plaintiff seeking an experienced Florida legal researcher, paralegal, or appellate litigation specialist to review my civil case against Fields Cadillac Jacksonville. My case was dismissed in Duval County Court and subsequently affirmed by the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal without a written opinion. My motion for rehearing was denied on October 9, 2026. I need assistance identifying legally available post-appeal remedies, researching Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.540(b), reviewing potential procedural errors, and preparing appropriate court filings. Scope of Work: * Review the trial court dismissal, appellate briefs, and relevant court orders. * Research remaining post-judgment and appellate remedies, including applicable deadlines. * Evaluate the trial court’s rejection of my Statements of Proceedings. * Research options for contesting the defendant’s attorney-fee entitlement and any subsequent fee award. * Evaluate whether independent evidence of alleged unauthorized vehicle repairs could support additional relief. * Assist with drafting legally supported motions, objections, and other necessary documents.

Requirements

* Demonstrated experience with Florida civil procedure and appellate rules. * Strong legal research and professional legal drafting skills. * Ability to cite controlling Florida statutes, procedural rules, and case law. * Experience assisting self-represented litigants preferred. I have extensive documentation available, including court orders, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Budget: Limited. I am seeking affordable, project-based assistance, beginning with a focused case assessment and written recommendations. Important: I am not seeking guaranteed results.
