Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Specialist Needed

Job Title: Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Expert Job Type: Contract Location: Remote Experience: 5+ years Job Description We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Expert to investigate cyber incidents, identify suspicious activities, trace network activity, and support authorized investigations involving compromised systems, accounts, and devices. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, OSINT, network security, IP analysis, and incident response. Key Responsibilities Investigate cybersecurity incidents, unauthorized access, suspicious accounts, and potential security breaches. Perform IP address analysis and authorized IP geolocation to determine the approximate geographic origin of network activity. Trace and analyze network connections, IP addresses, domains, DNS records, VPN/proxy indicators, and related infrastructure. Conduct digital forensics on computers, servers, cloud environments, and other authorized systems. Analyze system, application, firewall, VPN, authentication, and network logs to identify suspicious activity. Perform ethical hacking and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities. Conduct OSINT investigations using publicly available information and legally authorized sources. Investigate phishing, account compromise, malware, credential theft, and other cyber threats. Correlate IP addresses, timestamps, usernames, domains, and other digital indicators during investigations. Use SIEM, EDR, network-monitoring, threat-intelligence, and forensic tools to investigate security incidents. Prepare detailed investigation reports documenting findings, evidence, timelines, and recommended actions. Maintain proper evidence handling and chain-of-custody procedures where required. Work with IT, security, legal, and law-enforcement teams when appropriate. Ensure all investigations and monitoring activities comply with applicable laws, company policies, and required authorizations.
