Synology DS1522+ Expert Needed — Make Third 8TB Drive Usable While Preserving Existing Data

Hi, I’m looking for an experienced Synology specialist to help with my existing Synology DiskStation DS1522+ five-bay NAS. I’m a video creator and use it to store important footage. The NAS is already set up and working, but my current storage is full. My setup and issue: Two 8TB drives are being used for my main storage. A third Seagate 8TB drive is already installed, but I cannot add it to the existing storage or use its capacity. Previous Storage Manager screenshots showed Storage Pool 1 using RAID 0, with approximately 14.5TB capacity. Please verify the current configuration. The third drive previously showed as healthy, so I need someone to diagnose why its storage is unavailable. What I need: Review the storage pools, volumes, drive health and current configuration. Explain whether the third drive can expand the existing storage using a supported method. If that is not possible, explain whether it can be used as a separate storage pool and volume while keeping my existing files in place. Help implement the agreed solution and confirm that I can save and access new footage. Check the DSM version and advise whether an update is needed. My priority is preserving all existing footage. I want to avoid deleting or rebuilding my main storage, or transferring everything elsewhere. Please explain the proposed steps, limitations and backup requirements before making changes. Do not format drives, delete storage pools or change the RAID configuration without my explicit approval. I’m not an IT expert, so I need someone patient who can explain everything clearly and guide me through a remote session. When applying, please include: Your experience with similar Synology issues. What screenshots or information you need first. Your proposed approach, estimated time and fixed price. Your availability in Dubai time. Please provide a specific response to this issue rather than a general IT proposal.
