Streetwear Fashion Designer Needed

It will be a waste of both our time.** ## THE PROJECT I am looking for an experienced **streetwear/fashion designer and technical apparel designer** to help develop an initial summer range and potentially become a **long-term creative partner for the brand**. I am not looking for someone who simply places graphics or logos onto blank garments. I want someone who understands **garment design itself** — silhouettes, proportions, construction, fabrics, GSM, stitching, trims, hardware, washes, printing, embroidery, branding and all the smaller details that make premium streetwear stand out. I am building this with the intention of creating a **long-lasting legacy streetwear brand**, not a short-term startup project. I want to find someone who can eventually understand the brand deeply enough to help turn my ideas, references and vision into complete collections. ## INITIAL SUMMER RANGE The first project will involve approximately **6–8 pieces**, potentially including: - Short-sleeve button-up shirts - Shorts - Long-sleeve tops - Belts - Socks - Hats/headwear - Other complementary summer pieces we develop together I already have an established brand identity, logos, artwork, references and creative ideas. Your role is to help transform these into **original, cohesive, commercially viable and manufacturer-ready garments.** ## PROJECT SCOPE The project will broadly follow: **Vision → Research → Concepts → Design → Refinement → Tech Packs → Sampling → Manufacturing** ### 1. Creative Direction We will discuss the brand, collection direction, references, current trends, fabrics, silhouettes, colours, construction, details and the intention/story behind each piece. I expect you to contribute your own ideas and professional opinions rather than simply wait for instructions. ### 2. Garment & Collection Development Develop approximately 6–8 pieces including: - Concepts and sketches - Silhouettes and proportions - Fabric/material recommendations - Colourways - Construction details - Branding and graphic placement - Embroidery/print applications - Stitching details - Custom trims and hardware - Leather details where appropriate - Finishing and wash ideas The garments need to work together as a **cohesive collection**, not look like unrelated individual designs. ### 3. Design Refinement We will collaborate through calls and messages to refine the strongest concepts until the garments are ready for production development. Communication is extremely important. I want someone who is comfortable discussing ideas, explaining their reasoning, receiving feedback and also challenging my ideas when their professional experience suggests a better direction. ### 4. Manufacturer-Ready Tech Packs For approved designs, I require professional tech packs that can be sent directly to manufacturers. Depending on the garment, these should include: - Technical flats - Measurement/specification sheets - Size/grading information where required - Fabric composition and GSM - Pantone/colour references - Construction and stitching details - Print/embroidery specifications - Artwork dimensions and placements - Labels and branding placement - Buttons, zippers and hardware - Trims - Leather patch specifications where applicable - Bill of Materials (BOM) - Manufacturer notes and callouts I want someone who understands **how clothing is actually manufactured**, not just how to make something look good in Illustrator. ### 5. Sampling Support Experience communicating with manufacturers and assisting with sample corrections is highly preferred. Please state whether sampling support and tech-pack updates following samples are included in your price or charged separately. ## THE PERSON I AM LOOKING FOR I want someone with genuine depth in **streetwear and contemporary fashion**. You should understand current and emerging trends but also know how to take inspiration without simply copying what other brands are doing. You should be capable of taking: **An idea/reference/story → developing the concept → creating an original garment → technically preparing it for manufacturing.** I am particularly interested in someone experienced with: - Premium/luxury streetwear - Custom garment construction - Fabric selection - Modern and oversized silhouettes - Custom trims and hardware - Embroidery and printing - Leather details - Hats and accessories - Collection development - Professional tech packs - Manufacturer communication ## LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP This is extremely important. I am **not only hiring for one collection**. I want to find a designer I can build a long-term working relationship with. As the brand develops, I want this person to understand our identity, characters, design language, quality standards and the intentions behind the clothing. Eventually, I want to be able to bring you the vision for a collection and have you help turn that vision into something stronger through your own creative and technical knowledge. I am building this with the intention of creating a **legacy brand that lasts**, not simply launching another short-term streetwear startup.
