Categorize 24-Month Bank Statement Data

I have two full years of bank statements in PDF format and I need every transaction moved into Microsoft Excel. Once the data is entered, I want a rolling 24-month view that clearly shows each transaction sorted under the right expense heading—property taxes, insurance, repairs & maintenance, utilities and any additional categories you feel are relevant. Accuracy matters more than speed: dates, descriptions, amounts and running balances must match the originals. After import, please summarise the totals by month and by category so I can see trends at a glance, and leave the raw transaction tab intact for future filtering. A simple pivot table or dashboard is welcome if it helps highlight the monthly totals and category splits, but keep the file straightforward enough for me to follow. Deliverables: • Clean transaction register covering the entire 24-month period • Categorised column for each expense type listed above (add “Other” only where absolutely necessary) • Summary sheet showing monthly spend by category and overall totals • Clear, consistent formatting in native Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) I will supply all PDFs once we start; let me know if you need any clarification on category rules before you begin.
